海角社区鈥檚 Jaden Leach prepares for the Miss Louisiana Pageant
Jaden Leach, a 海角社区 elementary education major from West Monroe, is among the contestants vying for the title of Miss Louisiana when the 2011 Miss Louisiana Pageant is held June 23-25 at Monroe Civic Center's W.L. "Jack" Howard Theater. All events will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Leach and the other contestants were introduced earlier this week at the Miss Louisiana Kick-Off Press Conference, followed by a Tuesday luncheon on the 海角社区 campus in which Leach enthusiastically welcomed the 34 other contestants.
"I'm so glad you are all here and I know you will agree that 海角社区 is the most amazing, outstanding, superior college that we think it is!" she said.
Leach was crowned Miss 海角社区 in October 2010.
海角社区 President Dr. Nick J. Bruno also welcomed the contestants and wished them the best.
"I look forward to seeing you all in a leadership role in the future," he said. "Good luck to you and be sure just to have some fun."
Hope Anderson and Erica Durr are two former Miss 海角社区s who join Leach in vying for the title of Miss Louisiana 2011.
The current and outgoing Miss Louisiana 2010, Kelsi Crain, a junior kinesiology major at 海角社区, is performing several dance routines for the pageant.
Crain was crowned Miss Louisiana in June 2010 while also holding the Miss 海角社区 title.

The Miss Louisiana Organization will award over $60,000 in cash scholarships and awards this year, and over $900,000 in in-kind scholarships will be made available.
