Bontty to present "Mysteries of Mummification" May 3
Monica Bontty, 海角社区 Egyptologist and professor of history, will present 鈥淢ysteries of Mummification鈥 Thursday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the 海角社区 Museum of Natural History.
Bontty has a history of offering unique events to educate the public about Egyptology subjects.
She and Chuck Rand recently spoke at a Chautauqua Nexus entitled 鈥淎ncient Egyptian Beer and Beer Brewing鈥 April 19, which focused on the history of beer in Egypt along with its various uses (medicine, ritual and daily life).
Bontty also decided to give five of her students the opportunity of a more hands-on history lesson by way of a visit to Egypt Dec. 18 鈥 30.
